Welcome, Blue Blazer Fans!

This year’s season looks to be exciting and entertaining. I have great hopes for our Blue Blazers in all our sports and music programs. Our coaches, athletes, marching band, orchestra, and choir members are working very hard.

As parents and fans, we need to show our student athletes support with our attendance at the contests and our enthusiastic vocal support. I believe our student athletes and our music students have learned many important life lessons with their participation in our extra-curricular program. I know they will take these important lessons into the real world. If college or the work world is their next step, our students will be prepared to take on these challenges.

A message from the athletic director...

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all past, present and future supporters of Elkhart Athletics. We look forward to spending the 2010-2011 academic and athletic year with you.

We ask that all of our athletes and coaches represent our school, our facilities and our programs with the highest regard. We ask that you as fans enjoy the experience of watching and cheering for our student athletes in a positive and enthusiastic manner.

We are the role models as teachers, coaches and parents that our student athletes look up too. Through athletic competition we work to shape the future of our leaders by preparing and teaching them how to work hard and respect fair contest. Learning to be a part of a team is a life- long lesson, one that we at Elkhart Central take pleasure in instructing.

You must have an athletic physical on file in the athletic office, you must have your $30.00 athletic fee (per sport) paid in the athletic office, and you must be eligible academically in order to come to try-outs.

Catherine Wolf Award The Catherine Wolf Award is presented to the outstanding senior female athlete in the Elkhart Community Schools and is chosen by a Selection Committee. The selection is "based on the rules and purposes established for this award which is hereby established and will be continued by a Selection Committee" under the direction of the Elkhart Community Schools and the Elkhart Truth.

Current Sports Schedule

IHSAA Organized in 1903, the Indiana High School Athletic Association is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization that is self-supporting without the use of tax monies.

Any high school in the state, or any junior high school offering ninth grade, whether public, private, parochial, or institutional, if accredited by the Indiana Department of Education, may become a member of the Association by making a formal application that is authorized by its board of education and by subscribing to the rules and By-Laws of the Association.
